- Fully excavate the site to the standards set by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
- Contain the contaminated soil in a secure on-site location
- Sample the excavated soil for chemical constituents and profile the waste accordingly
- Transport the hazardous material to an approved landfill
- Dispose of the material in compliance with all governmental safety regulations
